Filming of LOST took place in & around Honolulu, where its very unlikely to ever encounter a polar_bear. However, the USS_Honolulu_(SSN-718) had been known to occasionally cross paths with a few polar bears.

Quite a while before an event known as, the 2009 Norway Spiral occurred, was Station_6: The_Orchid, with its spiral portal symbol. In the story, the Orchid is part of a Time_travel research project, which in turn is part of The_DHARMA_Initiative. The Time_flash became an integral part of the LOST story line.
